Some things are flat out crazy. You know? Like the time I went to The Varsity in Atlanta and ate 6 chili dogs, 2 chili cheeseburgers, onion rings, french fries, 2 cokes and a chocolate shake. My life changed that night. That was crazy.
Another thing that was crazy was when I wanted to, but couldn’t, jump off a cliff into the lake below. So a friend pushed me and I think I broke a rib when I landed sideways. Wow. That was crazy, too.
But there is another kind of crazy. It’s the crazy that makes you do something more than you ever thought possible to show how much you love somebody.
I believe God wants to see us do something crazy as a church. Something that shows how much we have a crazy love for God. As you know if you have been attending Long Hollow this summer, we’ve been thinking about how good we have it, and how many nice things we have, and how our suburban hands are so clean. I am convinced that God wants to push Long Hollow out of our suburban “comfort zone.” You know what I think? I think God wants us to do something crazy.
This site unveils a 17-month plan to show crazy love. It will require crazy faith. It will take a crazy level of participation. It will need crazy generosity. But that’s what we want, isn’t it? To do something crazy to demonstrate our crazy love for God. Especially since He has a crazy love for us.
“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
Here we go! The Crazy Love Campaign!

Awesome. Outrageous. Amazing what God is doing @ Long Hollow. I’m so blessed to be a part of this. How can we not have “Crazy Love” after what Jesus did for us? He came so that we can have life, let’s be a blessing to other lives. Be blessed, and spread the “Crazy Love.”
