Can I start giving now?
Yes. All Crazy Love Campaign funds that are given now will go toward Offering Four. Consider making weekly or monthly gifts along the way in order to make a larger gift for Offering Three possible for yourself and your family.
When will we break ground on the Student Building?
The proposed plan, based on the church-wide vote, is to break ground in early June and be in the new Student Building in early 2011.
What if either more or less is given than the goal?
The dollar amounts are based on achieving our goal for this offering. If the actual offering is different, either higher or lower, we will use the percentages as a guide to allocate the funds.
Who oversees the distribution of the Crazy Love Campaign funds?
Our staff and Resource Team will decide all matters related to The Crazy Love Campaign. The Resource Team is comprised of 12 church members from an array of personal and professional backgrounds who provide counsel and accountability for our staff.
Does this take the place of regular giving?
The ongoing ministry of Long Hollow is dependent on the general budget. We ask that all families continue to give sacrificially to the general budget, and that all Crazy Love Campaign gifts be above and beyond that giving.
What about fund-raising?
Many families had successful garage sales, car washes and other creative ideas to raise funds to contribute to the Crazy Love Campaign. We encourage our members to be entrepreneurial and sacrificial. We ask that you not use Long Hollow’s name on any fund-raising projects.
Can I designate?
The power of a collective campaign is that we can do more together than we can separately, so we ask that all Crazy Love Campaign gifts be given to the general campaign fund and not be designated. If you have an unusual reason to designate and want to speak to someone about it, please contact Todd Cox, Long Hollow’s Business Pastor.
What percentage of funds given for the orphan village goes toward overhead expenses for The Global Orphan Project?
Zero. 100% of what Long Hollow gives goes toward the orphan village and their care. The Global Orphan Project covers all their overhead expenses through other private donations.
Does this take the place of our budgeted missions giving?
No. We still support the Cooperative Program (our denomination’s budget), and our usual ministry and missions programs.
