We encourage you and your family to take some time exploring ways to express crazy love for God during this campaign. Talk about what that means to you and then think of practical ways to get there. Here are some ideas to get you started.

A Gift Per Family

$650,000 seems enormous until it’s broken down into bite-sized gifts. If every family gave an average gift of $400, we would more that meet our goal. While some may only be able to give less, and others may be able to give much more, the power to reach the goal comes in everyone participating. Give conveniently online (longhollow.com/give) or any time you’re at Long Hollow.

Sacrifice Certain Things.

Do without Starbucks or eating out as much. Take a 3-star vacation instead of a 5-star one. Reduce your cable package to premium instead of super duper premium. You get the picture.

Work Your Gift Into Your Family Budget

Make your Crazy Love Campaign contribution at the same time you pay your bills each month by working your 17-month gift into your family budget. Time usually allows for a much larger gift.

Sell or Donate Something

Maybe you have something of significant value you could sell or donate to the church. Land, a house, a car, jewelry, stocks, etc, are all items that could be donated as your gift or part of your gift. Perhaps you could have a garage sale and donate all you make as your gift.

Crazy Love Jar

Many families are using their own Crazy Love Jar on the kitchen table as a constant reminder to be setting aside funds. It’s a great, practical way to get everybody involved. The kids can decorate a jar, basket, or any container. Its easy access encourages contributions by all the family – kids and adults! Make your jar a family creation with your own decorating ideas, or use magazine pictures and graphics. A little Mod Podge painted on your container easily seals your art!

As Always… We ask that all Crazy Love Campaign contributions be made above your regular giving to our General Budget so that the ongoing ministry of Long Hollow can continue without interruption. Thanks.
